Officials at the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry (DACF) report that emerald ash borer (EAB) has been found in Madawaska, Maine. Take note of the state and federal rules that ban movement of untreated firewood (www.maine.gov/firewood). Read the full press release from DAFT to find out more. With this discovery, Rhode Island is the only New England state where EAB has not yet been detected.
