Rhode Island's Masonic Youth Center Gets a Facelift
March 31, 2019. Warwick, RI. By: Bruce Duffy, TCC Chair.
On March 31, 2019, four tree companies and twenty-two volunteers descended upon the Masonic Youth Center in Warwick, Rhode Island. The perfect spring day provided the perfect backdrop as they proceeded to provide more than $16,000 in free tree work. They prepared the site for the June 1, 2019, New England Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture Tree Climbing Championship where 36 of New England's top climbers will compete for the title of best New England Climber and move onto the International Championship in Knoxville, Tennesee.
On behalf of the New England Tree Climbing Championship Committee, I would like to thank all of the volunteers who came out to help prepare the trees for this year’s climbing competition. This is a huge commitment from all our volunteers to make this a successful day. Without their continued support on many levels, this event wouldn’t be what it is today.
The morning started off with a brief introduction on what our objectives were and what we wanted to accomplish for the day. Coffee and donuts, as well as lunch, were provided to all the volunteers. It was a great day overall. The following Companies and individual volunteers helped with the work day:

Henriks Tree Service, Equipment: Bucket truck, mini track machine, chip truck, and chipper. Volunteers: Henrik Donlaevy, and Cameron Martins
