For Students - Scholarship and Shigo Fund Awards Increased

In January 2019, the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter - ISA voted to increase the amount of funds awarded through the Chapter's grants and scholarship program. Starting in 2019, students can apply for a $2,500 scholarship from the Chapter.

Two scholarships are available for current undergraduate or graduate students and one scholarship is available to graduating high school seniors pursuing a degree in arboriculture, urban forestry, or a related field.

Additionally, the amount that students can request from the Shigo Student Support Fund was increased to $400. The Shigo Student Support Fund provides grants to students endeavoring to deepen their knowledge of arboriculture through participation in conferences, workshops, and other events.
