Recall for Courant Spliced KALMIBA

Safety Update

 
COURANT is recalling all spliced KALIMBA ropes after identifying a safety defect in the spliced terminations.

For the U.S. market, Wichard Groupe North America (WGNA) will apply Courant's recall instructions as the U.S. importer. Please act immediately on the instructions below.

Part Numbers Impacted: MH730JZC045, MH730JZC050, MH730JZC060, MH730MCC045, MH730MCC050, MH730MCC060 plus any additional Kalimba spliced under Courant splicing protocols prior to June 15, 2026.

 
 

Required Actions — Effective Immediately

  1. Do not inspect, repair, re-splice, test, or destroy the affected ropes. Return your rope in accordance with Courant's recall instructions as communicated here. Do not ship products to Courant in France.
  2. Click here to complete the required form and initiate your return.
  3. Within the return form, you will select your replacement product, and your submission will generate a pre-paid shipping label via email from WGNA.
  4. After submitting the form, please allow up to 48 hours to receive your Confirmation Email from WGNA. This email will contain both your pre-paid shipping label and your assigned Return Authorization (RA#). Please clearly write this number on the outside of your return package so Courant can match it to your order and ship your selected replacement product.

Replacement Options

Courant is offering affected customers a choice of two replacement options:

  • Fast replacement: for customers who do not want to wait for the new splice. Options include 11.7mm KOMORA or 12.1mm KANOPA rope (60m length, single splice), 11.5mm SQUIR rope (60m length, no splices), or a CROSS PRO bag (54L, random color).​
  • Like-for-like replacement: a spliced 11.9mm KALIMBA rope with the new-generation splice, supplied as an exclusive pack. The new splice is still being finalized, so Courant cannot yet confirm an availability date. Returned stock will be given priority for replacement with the new splice as soon as it is available.
