Capron Park Workday is a Huge Success
April 8, 2017. Fifteen volunteers lead by Tree Climbing Championship Committee Chair, Bruce Duffy, converged on Capron Park & Zoo to prepare the park for the New England Chapter ISA Master's Challenge Invitational on June 3, 2017. Volunteers removed trees, pruned branches and helped with some hard to reach areas around the zoo's animal enclosures.
Duffy said, "Everything went smoothly and safely." The amount of work was quite impressive. Duffy noted, "Both the park foreman and the Mayor (who lives across the street) were impressed with the amount and quality of work that was accomplished is just one day."
Thank you to Lewis Tree Service, Stanley Tree, and National Grid for donating equipment and man-power to this project. Thank you to all of the volunteers that came out to help with today's event.
