Right tree right place is the mantra for urban foresters; besides soil type, species selection, and infrastructure conflicts, the design is also an element to consider when planning for street trees. Fundamental design principles and tools for streetscape design will be discussed.

Numerous new tree cultivars and varieties are introduced to the market every year. Features can include improved stress tolerance, disease resistance, improved ornamental features, or alternative size or form. This presentation will review some of the new introductions for 2020.
