Tree Identification Workshop (TWAC)

The Tree ID Workshop will consist of both indoor and outdoor learning periods. The outdoor sessions will be in the woods on trails. Please dress accordingly and wear proper footwear. Rain or shine.
Be tick smart! Check yourself for ticks afterwards and bring insect repellent, if desired.
Coffee and light breakfast/snacks will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle for water.
Registration will be capped at each location. Please register early to secure your enrollment at the location and on the date of your preference.
Brooksvale Park (Thu, May 14, 2020)

A 500-acre public park owned by the Town of Hamden with animals, gardens, maple-syruping, and trails. There is a tree identification trail with 24 different species. The workshop will begin at the Veteran’s Memorial Building. Please use the north entrance to the park and follow signs up the hill and past the small playground and barns.
