Tree Identification Workshop (TWAC)

The Tree ID Workshop will consist of both indoor and outdoor learning periods. The outdoor sessions will be in the woods on trails. Please dress accordingly and wear proper footwear. Rain or shine.
Be tick smart! Check yourself for ticks afterwards and bring insect repellent, if desired.
Coffee and light breakfast/snacks will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle for water.
Registration will be capped at each location. Please register early to secure your enrollment at the location and on the date of your preference.

The arboretum at Dinosaur State Park showcases more than 200 varieties of plants that existed during the Age of Dinosaurs. In addition, there are more than two miles of trails that travel through a wetland and uphill forest providing many opportunities to identify native species in their natural preferred site conditions. The workshop will begin inside the auditorium of the main building.
