Veteran Trees: Survival of the Fittest
As an industry, our views on the care of veteran trees have been changing. Most tree research findings have been based on young trees, frequently in orchard or even greenhouse settings. However, the highest value trees in a managed landscape are often veterans that bear the marks of long life and misadventure. This presentation will focus on some of the unique features of veteran trees, their contributions to the landscape, and the value they add to our mutual environment.  Qualifies for 2 MCA Education credits and ISA credit.
